Threats if violence

An abuser often tries to control their partner with threats of violence. They use these threats to force the partner into submission. Projecting their shortcomings onto others is very typical. They blame their behavior on your accomplishments and their lack thereof.  Cruelty to animals and /or children is a red flag. Stay alert. Be vigilant!
